We had science this week! We made a tiny lightbulb light up! We only used a battery, a lightbulb and a piece of wire. My partner is Ciara. The first time we tried to touch the wire to the battery and hold the light bulb so the wire touched the metal part. But that didn't work. The next time we did the same thing, except we made the wire touch the glass on the light bulb. That didn't work. Then we made one part of the battery touch the bottom of the wire and held the light bulb on top of the battery. We made the wire touch the metal part of the light bulb. It worked. The light bulb lit up!

This week in school I felt like a true scientist. We were working with a wire and a battery and a lightbulb. We were finding a way to make the lightbulb light. My team was Sailor, me, Oli and Mae. All the groups had to find a way to make the light bulb to work. Oli and I tried a million ways. Eventually we had to get help.
The way to do it was to put the wire on the battery (the bump on top of the battery) and put the other end of the wire on the twist part bit of the lightbulb and on the other end of the battery.
